So i got 2 of the group (i need a pickup and a few hours to collect the others) But I have two burls that i need advice on processing. Im not entirely sure how to handle them. They are very green. I can get anchor seal, but they have not been detached from the branches or trunk.

Pictures attached. Please advise

First, try to remove the bark. It's cherry and full of sap, so it may be impossible. The most efficient way to do this is with a pressure washer. If you are making pen blanks, cut them down to size now, a little larger to allow movement. I would cut that burl down the middle, with the grain. Then I would cut 1" slabs. From there, cut your blanks based on what's inside and how it looks.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice. Guess i need to find someone near by that has a bandsaw with enough clearance. While im excited about the next couple ill be getting, I am not looking forward to processing them. (the one is literallly fills more than half a standard wheel barrel and weighs close to 250 lbs.)

Its a shame that the most of you guys are outside of my short driving range.

If you do not have the bandsaw height, cut in thirds. I forgot to mention, use a chainsaw for this cut, and others until you have enough clearance for your bandsaw.
