bullet pens

hi guys i just got back from a friends who took apart some 270 shells for me. i kept the lead part of the shell as well. the bullet part looks like it it is mostly cooper with some lead in the middle. my question is how do i use these as the nibs for a pen wouldnt the bullet go in to far when i put the transmission in. any ideas would be helpful.

There are several ways to do this, the best advice I can give is to look in the library and read the couple articles in there to get a better idea.
