I built mine on WIX but the free version includes wix ads and no ecommerce. Very easy to use. I do not care for their store - they give you the options to link to other products so I link to ECWID for my store

okay I see I would like to have a cart for selling pens I see this one too any suggestions. You have to pay for it monthly plus your domain name

All my website are hosted with GoDaddy. Here is one of my client's site--I did the original design years ago, then they took it over, so not much of "me" left in it. If you click the On-Line Store link you will see GoDaddy's cart, etc. They basically set this up all on their own. GoDaddy's free tech support is very good, should one need help.

PS If you don't want to use a web hosting company's cart, PayPal is another option.

I use GoDaddy to host my website. Not a fan of the free ones out there. For my store front I use open cart on my site for the storefront.

I use the free Google Sites for my website. You can do the basics with it fairly easily and Google Analytics is free to see what kind of traffic you are getting. I don't have a shopping cart, although you can use Google Checkout fairly easily if you want. I've used GoDaddy before and they were nice to work with but I did not want to continue to spend the money.

I use wix  love it. Easy to update with a friendly user interface. Click the link in my sig below.

Create a site on there for free to see what you think. If you like it you can always upgrade.

Has anyone tried selling on Etsy. Someone suggested selling my stuff there, but I'm such a newbie that I don't know what to do. Build a website or get s "store front" on Etsy.

You could do both. Etsy can provide you with lots of traffic, but also lots of competition. Your own site would have less traffic but no competition.

Hostgator is a popular hosting service too. And you can get 40% off if you go through wpbeginner.com.

I use free version of weebly to create my website. Used to sell on it. They started charging a monthly fee so I started using Etsy. I use my website to display different pens that I have created. If they click on my sale page on my website, it just links them to my etsy shop. Really need to spend time redoing everything but just cannot find the time.
