Hello,
I was working on a project and broke out my Enduro starting kit.
I went to Wally World and bought the 2 bottles (clear ketchup style) for easy applications as mentioned in other posts.
I applied the sanding sealer.
Using the bottle, and papertowel.
I allowed the lathe to spin for a bit before taking the project of the lathe to dry in a different room while I worked on another piece.
Once the other piece was competed I applied sanding sealer to this piece.
repeating the same process.
This piece was placed in the other room to dry as well.
I spent a lot of time vacuming all the saw dust up to make sure it did not get on the finish.
The can says 20 minutes.
I gave it at least an hour to dry, between coats.
(Plus vacum and clean up time)
Lightly sanding in between, and wiping of with the lathe on and off with clean white undershirt.
After several coats of sealer, I applied several coats on clear gloss Enduro.
After allowing to dry for 24 hours I attempted to buff.
This is my first time buffing.
I used the white diamond compound.
It appears I was pushing my finish around, not buffing.
I built up a whitish/grey substance on the piece.
Any tips on what I did wrong?
Not enough cure time?
Is Enduro not buffable?
Pushed too hard?
Thank you for any tips.
Jeff
