I wanted to share my first attempt to make a small bud vase from a piece of cherry wood. Along with it i include a couple pictures of other carvings not made by me: the first is a nice olive wood carving and the second one a live edge ( a bit sloppy) frame; both of them gifts from friends. Can you guess what the sketch shows? Cheers

I am intrigued by your sketch ( and have no idea )
I see three figures on one side of a wall, the first holding either a dog's or horse's head, the second figure holding a human head and the third holding an urn. These objects are reflected on the wall on the left hand side in front of a large homogenous group. they seem to be in a cave with an exit to a nicer looking landscape into which a few figures have entered.
Interpretation please.

Its a difficult allegory to explain and that's why i put the link to wikipedia. If you or anyone else likes it i could upload a file. Its a rough sketch nothing special, (at least to my knowledge) that i found and scanned.
