Finished this up this morning. It's my first pen at the higher end range of the spectrum, if you will. It's much larger than the Barons I like to turn, but I think I like the larger feel and capless body when holding it. 3 coats CA/BLO with 2 coats of Bush oil added before the 1st coat of CA to bring out the quilting. As awlays, comments and criticisms appreciated.

Very nice Darrin. I picked up a few of these kits when I heard the last call at CSUSA. Been considering what to use for barrels. Now that I see them assembled, it's obviously they require lots of figure . Is the pen heavy? I think it would look great in a jade Trustone but that would add more weight? Maybe something pink?

Very dramatic looking pen. The figure in the burl matches up nicely with the components. I think I like the lighting in first set of pictures better, though.

Very nice pen. Anyone else 'see' the animal face in the picture of the top as it is posted? Look closely at the third picture in the beginning of this thread.

Excellent combo... the Buckeye and the Black Titanium Lotus. Awesome.
