Has anyone used one of these? We looked at the 16 gal. 6.5 horse vac for $99.00 and the seen this for $20. The big appeal on one is 6.5 horse. The $20 bucks may sound better. Please let me know what you think.

I have one and use it for water spills. It works really well and is worth the $20.
It makes a great back-up

I was mostly looking at something for a dust collector, so The other half might let me work in the back room. Does this have enough suck to not make it suck?

I was looking at getting one of these as well to use as part of a dust collection system. I was looking at hooking it up with a cyclone as well. The cyclone would go into a plastic trashcan and the motor would go into a 3 or 5 gallon bucket. As already asked how is the suction on these vacuums? Would it work well with the dust deputy? Could I run about 40 ft of hose off of it and still have good suction?

You won't be able to run long hoses with the bucket head. It does not have the power of a shop vac but has more than a household hoover type and more than a dust devil. You use the standard household hose and attachments, about 1/2 the dia. of the shop vac. But, it's small and handy and is great for small pick up work. Not as a dust collector.(IMHO).
