Bubinga...Any Special Advise?

How is Bubinga for turning pens? Any special advise before I ruin a nice piece of wood?

I have only turned one so far. Cut nice, no trouble with my CA/BLO finish.

i found Bubinga very easy to turn and finish, no problem with a ca finish. give it a try whats the the worst that can happen.

One of the nicest woods around, i never would ever turned it, had it not been for game calls. I always thought it was to plain, but it is classy when finished. Turns beautifully. Carl

The Bubinga I turned had a soft side to it and needed to stabilize so it could be finished symmetrically. It has a beautiful grain. Let me see what happens to yours.

if there's any curl, oil will really bring it out nicely.
