I have something I'd printed out from the maker of the BB blanks, and he talks about using friction polish, but you have to use more friction than with a wood blank, so the polish can be baked on with that material. He says if the pen gets cloudy/dull, then he knows he needs more heat, so he goes back and does it again, pressing harder. Says 2 coats of FP is all it takes to get a good shine. He also says that sometimes he uses Novus 2, sometimes HUT Ultra gloss, and sometimes EEE ultrashine polish, that any of these will remove the very fine scratches.

I don't have a scanner, and I think I pulled out the most important parts, but if you want, I'll mail you a copy, just send me your mailing info. It's actually a little over a page pf print.

That sounds overly complicated. I've seen tons of BB pens that were polished like a normal acrylic pen.

I agree with Angela, heat is GOOD with bowling ball. High speed, any reasonably good polish and MOST IMPORTANT: PAPER APPLICATOR!!! (Paper towel, toilet paper, whatever)

High speed catches with rags can be dangerous.
