Hi all,
Long time didn't posted, learning Urushi takes a lot of time and it's a very long process.
Finally I have something to post, it's not yet finished, but I couldn't resist to assemble it and make some pictures.
It's made from SEM 1920 Ebonite.
This Ebonite has carbon powder, it's much harder than normal Ebonite.
The pen has so far 20 layers of Urushi, it needs 25-48 hours per layer to cure depending on the layer.
I need to add a couple more to finish, a matter of couple of days.
Nice day all
Teo

Thanks guys. That's the result of one month and a half of work, and other painful trials.
I have now other colours coming and I hope I will get promising results.
Nice day all.

The result is gorgeous Theo. You got a perfect shine, what is your process for finishing?

Well, the process is again very painfully long.
It requires high grade Urushi, applied, wiped and cured for 48 hours.
After this polish, with polishing powder and repeat 5 to 7 times.
