Yesterday was a good day! I went to the post office to mail out several boxes of blanks and to my surprise I had one waiting on me to be picked up. This box was from Marla (aka Crickett) up in Canada. We had worked out a trade for each others blanks and to my surprise they arrived earlier than I expected. Well I just HAD to open it up right then and there. Now since I live in such a small town I'm always at the post office mailing out blanks and I've gotten to be good friends with the lady that works there. She knows all about my pens (has even bought a couple!) and blanks so she was just as excited to see what I had bc she saw all my excitement. I opened the box right there in front of her and WOW I got some super sweet blanks! Well before I could even get a proper look at them all she immediately grabs two of them and says (this is a direct quote) "I don't care what this is gonna cost me, I want these two. One for me and one for my oldest son. He'll be in town in a week, can you have them ready by then?" Of course I say yes! She knows my price ranges so she kinda knew what to expect as far as price goes. I already have the kits and now the blanks. All I need to do is turn and assemble. Here's a nice gloating pic of my treasure! Marla, you make some super blanks. Thanks so much!! And to everyone else...Nanner nanner nanner!:biggrin:

Are you kidding me...? Now I have to reach across to Canada and get what you have. Marla...expect a PM this weekend, ha ha ha. Really amazing looking work, can wait to see some of these posted when you're done.

I have turned some of Marla's blanks and I can verify that they are amazing! Congrats on the sales Johnathon. Now you need to get the woman at the post office to proudly display her pen at work to generate future sales!

Hey Jonathan, glad you like what I sent, you were pretty vague on what you wanted beyond saying something about colorful and Zen!! ;o)

I look forward to seeing the pens you turn and receiving the blanks from you.

Sent from my iPhone because it's smarter than Ron's

You won't have to reach very far, I live about 5 minutes from the Washington border! ;o)

I grabbed a few of Marla's feathers from another user who wasn't going to use them, and I have never had so many comments on them, a few aren't crazy about the bright colors, but they are by far the exception.... Certainly going to be picking up some more, as the 4 I have are not going anywhere...

Jonathan, those are some very nice blanks that Marla sent you. I still can't figure out how she does it. Like I said before,if I tried that... well it would look just like a wet feather!

Great job as usual Marla. Jonathan, I'm sure your will make a great looking pen out of them.

You'll have to post photos of the results.
