These are called Weru burl and a few other names. Each blank is always different but when turned carefully- very pretty to me. My sales say pretty to customers.

When the purchase with shipping is paid plus the $25 tariff they price out as $7.50 each. THAT IS A BARGAIN to my shop.

Sample pen with Weru burl.

Those are stunning! Are you willing to share your supplier information with us? I would love to get my hands on some of these!

If you buy Amboyna burl form one of the vendors in Indonesia, make sure they can provide the proper paperwork. If customs finds a package of Amboyna without the paperwork they will confiscate it, and it will be a fight to get it back.

I've bought over 150 amboyna and other exotic blanks (big and one sized) so far and they arrived at my home without issue. Lately there is a tariff collected by DHL of about $25 per order.

Those blanks are really cool! And the Pen is Gorgeous.
It is a BARGAIN to be sure, especially at that price.
If someone wants to put together a "group buy" for blanks like these I would certainly partake. - Dave

I'm sure he would welcome a large purchase and perhaps it might lower the individual blank cost. His amboyna is very beautiful. I found the Indonesian mahogany and a few other species to be a disappointment, but you guys/gals might like them. Weru and amboyna rock.
