Blackwood Burl Cambridge

Took advantage of Woodcrafts last sale to pick up a Cambridge kit. It lay around for awhile until I decided to make myself a new personal pen from some of the Blackwood Burl someone offered a few weeks ago. Here's the results. Finish is straight CA after "popping" the grain with BLO. I hope the grain swirls show up as lighting the pic was a real bear!

Great job with some spectacular wood. Fit and finish look spot on, and this is one of the very few kits I know of that look right with a no curve b to b design. Nice Choice!

That pen is far nicer than the photo shows. I copied the photo and worked it in a photo program and the grain is spectacular. I'm still wrestling with my photos, so i know what you are going through. Well done and a killer finish.
