This is a taller bowl from the Black Walnut I was gifted by a neighbor. The logs are drying out quickly (Yeah, I know, I shoulda treated the ends) and developed cracks so I had to get kinda creative. I sorta rushed this one and the finish isnt as nice as I'd like it. Used Tried and True Original food safe finish.

I like the creativity you added. Is that standard 2 part resin? Did you just tape one side and fill it in from the other?
Yes, it is 2 part 5 minute epoxy. I added mica powder to color it.
The bottom was just shmeared on. The longer crack barely went all the way through but I used some "v" carving tools to open it up on the outside so I could more easily get the epoxy into it. The knot on the side did go all the way through and I used some Duct tape to back it on the inside.
I've used some of the product used to cover table tops but it takes too long to cure and on a turned surface it tends to flow to the lowest point plus it's very watery and is difficult to keep it in one place.
