Black Black Cherry Burl

I've been on the road a fair amount lately, and haven't had time to turn in over a week. Two pens in tonight's turning session, a Curly Maple slimline on a flat black kit and a black cherry burl on a flat black slimline kit.

The Cherry burl is beautiful! The maple and black is nice too but the combination just does not do it for me. But the Cherry on the other hand that's some pretty wood and looks great with that kit!

Nice Cherry pen. I've turned a lot of pens and other things in black Cherry since Hurricane Katrina left me with a lot of cherry trees on the ground.
