That is a beaut.
Was it hard to get all the different materials to come out smooth. Going from hard material to softer is always a challenge for me.
 
That must have been a bear to cut and sand. Nice work!

ps.. a new table saw is a great gift for a wife. Trust me.
 
Wow, that is awesome. I love your segmentation on your pens. You and I have a very similar style (though I haven't posted many of my segmented pens on here). Awesome.

That was certainly a challenge to turn. You have some widely varied levels of hardness there. Pretty good with the skew, huh?
 
WOW! That is beautiful! What a lovely birthday present. I bet she loves it. I certainly would. I hope you also give her a leather case to carry it so it doesn't become scratched.
