There's a local wood shop that I go to to get rough cut boards, cut-offs, burls, etc. from time to time. My wife has never been, so I took her there today to show her "what all the fuss was about". She really enjoyed herself and when she showed an interest in some large burls they had, one of the guys took us down to another small warehouse around the corner where they had even more wood. He showed us this root section and said it weighed 1800 pounds!! My wife took a few pics on her cell. You can somewhat tell the size by the pallet that it's on top of.
