"best" background for craft fair display

I will be making some display stands for use at craft fairs. What color is suggested to help the pens stand out. The display I have in mind will be a solid wood background. In the past had some open stands that held 7 pens each and then some flat boards with black velvet that I laid them on. I need to minimize the table footprint so I was thinking of an inclined board with several rows for holding pens. Making use of vertical area vs table top area.

I saw that shortly after posting this. Ended up getting some of the trays to try out.
