My first post - I'm returning to pen making after a 5 year absence........
I purchased several Churchill kits from the Berea sale - the gold and the sterling silver plated Rollerballs. The black final and receiver (the two ends) are both metal. The major plastic pieces are the black center band and the black nib holder. ( I call it the nib holder for lack of a better name since it is a rollerball rather tha a fountain pen - the names of the parts I have used are from the online Berea Churchill instructions.)
This is the update. They were plastic and COULD be broken, especially if carried in the "jeans pocket" by guys.
So is this the "updated" kit?
One other question since much has changed in the 5 years I wasn't paying attention. Someone above referred to the Dayacom version of the Churchill. Is the Berea version made by a different manufacturer?
Several pen manufacturers are using the names that were introduced by Berea. This does not mean it is the same pen!!! Sierra, Churchill and Sedona are among the names I have seen copied by others.
Thanks for any help.........
