On June 5, 2015, our friend, Mr. Allen Mason, member of Middle Tennessee Penturner's Group, and his wife, Melissa, lost their son at 20 years old. Our group held a pen turning gathering at my home on June 13, 2015, where we made pens for Allen to sell at a benefit sale next month and took donations to assist with funeral expenses. Together, we were able to make 26 pens and raise money.
Losing a loved one at a young age is beyond comprehension, but to continue to pay for this like a credit card furthers the pain. We would like to assist this wonderful family.
The Middle Tennessee Penturners Group partnered with Toni Ransfield to auction off her "One of a Kind" Dragon Scale Pen. This pen is a Silver Baron Fountain Pen with her exclusive dragon scale polymer clay blanks. The nib can be replaced with a Hesitance, Jowo, Bock, or Kaweco 5mm nib. As all of you know, these are exclusive to her business and is not available in the Pen Turning world as a completed pen only. This is a 5 Day Auction and all funds will be donated to the family of Allen Mason.
