Behlen's Durability

When I got started I purchased some Behlen's woodturners finish. I like the finish it produces. My question is how durable is it? can you put CA over it to make it more durable?

Behlen's is so easy to use and gives a nice finish but it appears that no one uses it, Why?

I use it with the Beall buffing afterwards. Makes a nice finish for pens but not the glass finish most of the turners get with poly, CA, and plexiglass applications. My customers and friends like it because we all prefer the luster look vice a shine.

I know what you mean.
I did a walnut slimline with a couple of coats of Behlen's and buffed with tripoli. It's not a high gloss finish but it does look good to me.
I'll have to see how long it lasts with daily use.
