Due health it has been some time since I posted or for that matter made anything.(

Well I got a commission to make this pen and stand, what do toy think?o:

The timber is red gum with some fiddle back, the finish is 20 coats WOP. I would have preferred to use clear decal but due to the white in the background of the crests I had to use white decal paper.

It's a beautiful pen! I love the contrast with the white in the decal against the grain of the wood. Was the use of 20 coats intended to cover the lip of the decal or just to add that rich glossy look? Just wondering what it takes if I do a decal pen ;-)
