Well, it's been an eventful year. I graduated from college (2nd time), quit my job, moved to Chesapeake, VA and been working on this tree.
We had to have this Oak tree taken down. There was quite a bit of rotting wood in it, but you can see that I'll probably have enough to play with.
The middle part of the stack is all quarter-sawn.
The awning is only temporary. We're supposed to get a few days of rain here. (A lot better than the sub-zero temps back in Montana, right Gerry?) Anyway, I'm going to build a lean-to for this wood and I'll be able to stack the firewood I got from the tree as well.
Oh, I'm 6'4" btw...
