When I was working, the packing division had from 80 to 100 men in the yard... most of the time there would 10-20 nail guns going at any given time... about every 2 weeks we would have someone come down with the Jesus complex and nail his hand to a box... fortunately that was our most common injury... we had about 15 men in the box shop running saws.. don't remember ever having a saw emergency.
My brother shot his boss in the head with a nail gun, accidentally of course. 16d. They had to operate to remove the nail, it went all the way in.

This actually happens fairly often. I seem to recall reading it in the paper every few years. And it always makes the national news.

Had a dope smoker on our job (they all did) nailing cripples together a pushed the nose of the gun against his leg and sank that nail all the way in through all that muscle. They pulled it out with a pliers. Can you say OUCHHHHHH!!!!
