Beaded Bug

I drove my wife to the airport (Denver) today, she will be in Cincinnati, Ohio for a few days for some training for work. While I was at the airport I saw this VW bug that is on display that has been covered in 2,277,000 glass beads. Apparently it's on tour and will be displayed in several cities. Interesting looking beadwork. As a kid I had Granny Bead necklaces.

Very reminisant of the busses and trucks in India. The drivers see there vehicle and the fact they can suport there families well as a blessing from god and celibrate that blessing through decoration. They are actually very competative about it.

One awesome looking VW, thanks for sharing it......bet that took a bunch of "saftey meetings"!
