An experienced machinist was killed Wednesday in Bossier City, LA when his shirt was caught in a lathe. :frown: He was 53 and worked a local machine shop. He had more than 25 years of experience on the lathe.

So.... lets be careful out there. Don't get lazy around the tools.

Wow, that is sobering news. Sometimes experience can work against you, if you let down your guard for even an instant.

The most unsafe practices I have ever seen were from people who were very experienced. They get comfortable and reckless because they "know what they are doing."

Too bad though.
