Bathroom Caulk

Hanging a shower safety bar. Will caulk brackets that get secured to wall. I realize almost any good quality silicon will be sufficient but looking for something better than typical Dap or GE. Marine caulk is good for this application but expensive and I'm using a tiny bit. I might be over thinking this but what would you use here? Thanks

We just finished my our upstairs bathroom. "We finished the downstairs one last month".
My wife does all the sealing. She uses Acrylic calking for most areas, including the bath and shower. It's easy to apply and clean up. She only used silicone caulk on the shower door, because we needed it to be clear.

A product with "micro-ban" helps reduce mildew in/under the caulk line.
