I bet you looked at the title and said, "WHAT?". Well here's the story. My wife broke our can opener. The plastic handle stripped out. So we talked about what would make the can opener better. We decided an offset handle would make it easier to use. And this is what I came up with. Made from a hickory pen blank with a Shellawax finish. Nice thing about this design is no twisting, one finger on the foot of the bat and around you go. :D

I know, your thinking why not buy a new one. That would be no fun and you wouldn't be able to use your tools. :D

I like it!!doing things like that makes it easier to justify new tool purchases to the wife. I need to turn a wooden handle for her pastry cutter but I need a new hallowing tool to do it[;)]
