Baseball Blank

I have a 12 year old daughter that is a very avid softball player. I would love to make her a softball pen for her upcoming birthday. I know that there are a few here that make baseball blanks out of polymer clay... Do you think that there is any way to make one that is fluorescent yellow with red stitching? (Like a girls softball) If so, I would be willing to trade or just purchase it out right.

I am going to cut the leather off of one of my softballs and try it. I am not sure if it is thin enough to cast or not but thought I would examine it. My daughter is really into softball as well.
