Hi Folks,
I was doing some re-saw work yesterday and thought the blade was getting very dull,(It really was dull) as it started bogging down pretty easy so I put a brand new blade and tuned up everything today. Problem is, when I tried a test cut I found it was weak as a kitten. Starting kind of slow, and bogs with almost no effort. Its not binding anywhere and turns freely by hand. Any thoughts? Its a 14" Grizzly with a riser and a 110v 3/4 hp motor. Any help would be appreciated.

Keith,
I am not familiar with the Grizzly but there should be a belt and I would guess that it is loose or that the motor has come loose. Just a thought. I hope that this helps a little.

Yep the blade is on the right way. I actually put one on backwards one time and got everything buttoned up before I noticed![:I][:D] Actually Mike was right on track. The motor vibrated a little loose and the belt was slipping. An easy fix is always the best kind. Thanks![:D]

Also see if your tires are slipping. Put a piece of masking tape on the tire and a pencil mark on the wheel and see if they move.

Oh yea, and a blade can be installed upside down, make sure the teeth are going down. If they are not, fix it and NEVER TELL ANYONE! [:D]

Possibly the capacitor on the motor or the motor itself went bye bye. If you can remove it take it to a motor repair shop. They should be able to test it.....Let us know the final outcome, ok?
