Bandsaw blade sharpening

Since Steve Russell's (member name SteveRussell) newsletter featured an article on sharpening bandsaw blades, I decided to give it a go.

Positive results all around!

I used Harbor Freight diamond cutoff discs for the "tops" of the teeth and a diamond cylinder (also from HF) for the gullets in my Dremel tool. Each process took under 15 minutes on my 105" 4 TPI blade so I'd say it was well worth the effort.

Steve's website is absolutely a MUST READ. If you go there and don't learn something, well you have got this wood working thing down pat (that is NOT a Richard Nixon joke, either) and well past being a hobby or profession. []

Thanks for the heads up on this. Looks like a great site though I haven't given it the time it deserves yet.
