Small flatrate box containing two 7-7/8" x 5-1/8" x 1/2" slabs of bamboo flooring. $18 shipped conus. Two boxes available.
I usually had three pens made from this material on hand for each show, and usually sold at least one, oftentimes two. I cut the blanks across the grain which shows the interesting figure. Cross grain is shown in first photo below. This material is very hard and brittle. You must have sharp tools when working it, otherwise you wont be successful. Drilling needs to be performed on the lathe. I would not suggest this material for newbies. Using a band saw or thin kerf blade will probably yield 13 pens from each slab.
