I'm sure I'll get a ton of wise cracks on this one, but are any of you into ballet? My wife is, so this years Christmas present to each other was a trip to New York to see the New York City ballet perform the Nutcracker. It was quite interesting. We went last weekend. She didn't know where we were going or what we were doing until we got on the road. My wife has been into ballet since she was young. Used to dance alot and even taught some. She doesn't dance anymore because of back and neck problems, but that's another story. She actually got an audition to Julliard years ago before we got married, but didn't get in. I think being in New York actually made her thankful that she didn't get in (Julliard is also in New York City for those who don't know.) New York is a great place to visit, but I don't think I could ever live there and neither did she.
Anyway, that trip was a little pricey, so we decided to let that be our Christmas gift to each other, even though it was more for her than me! But I had a great time. We did at least get to see the Christmas tree at Rockafellar Plaza as well. Pretty cool!
