I placed my order over the phone. They do not have an ecommerce package, so this is one of the only ways to order.
Robert (the owner) is a very accomplished purveyor of exotic burl woods. Mainly Australian and southeast Asian, he also has a collection of North American woods.
Robert runs a GREAT business. He has a huge collection of dyed and stabilized wood at really really great prices. I ordered a bunch stuff and he threw in about five free blanks. I have never had problems with the blanks having defects or being DOA. All the stuff he has is pretty and inexpensive, I love it! I am more of a woodworker than anything else when it comes to pens, and this is about as good as it gets!
But he doesn't just sell pen blanks. A lot of what he sells is burl blocks and caps, along with huge slabs for furniture making. It really is gorgeous stuff, and I am thinking about making a few end tables/coffee tables. Whatever your reason for buying from bad dog, you won't be disappointed!!
I will certainly be buying from him again in the future. Like, tomorrow.
