Been a loooooooooooooooong time since I have graced these forums with my presence!:embarrassed:

I don't really have a reason for this state of affairs. Don't have an excuse either.:rolleyes:

Since I last appeared here I have had a double bypass, a stent, and a couple of long trips to various parts of the globe. Also sold our house and will have to look for a new abode when we get back to Aus from Brasil.

We are here for a couple of reasons. Ana's mother is in a delicate state of health. She has been bed ridden for years and took a turn for the worse in January. She is now back in her own home. Her health fund set up a miniature ICU for her in the bedroom and she is attended round the clock by three nurses and a supervising doctor.

Sad to say, but this is the last time we will see Yedda so we came to say our goodbyes.

Also came for Ana to tidy up some of her paperwork here, as she has now officially retired in Brasil.

Purchase of a new home is our next priority. Of course a SHED is hight on the "must have list" (somewhere above a kitchen, bathroom and a roof.:biggrin:)

Also intend to buy a metalwork lathe!!

Welcome back Artme glad to see you still have the desire to turn. I am sorry your trip to Brazil wasnt a vacation and my thoughts are with you and your family. Keep us posted on your progress on the "Man Cave".:biggrin:

Ana came backfrom seeing her mother yesterday and nothing has changed. She is one tough lady my MIL. Still hanging on despite the circumstances.


Yes KB, I intend to make kitless writing implements - once I learn to use the machine!
