Pen #13 - Jr. Aaron Rollerball
Kit: Jr. Aaron Rollerball - Chrome & Gold (Exotic Blanks)
Blank: Gold & Copper Metallic Flake Blanks (Exotic Blanks)

I bought a couple of these blanks from Exotic Blanks maybe a month ago and was planning to make a pen for the fall and when I saw the Jr. Aaron kit recently, I knew the two had to be paired together. I reverse painted the blanks white. My new favorite carry-around-with-me pen/advertisement!

Great looking pen! I purchased one of the blanks about a year ago and just got around to turning it. I wasn't happy with it, as the flakes were not as 'dense' and I saw a lot of resin and not enough flaking. I tossed it and considered it a loss. Yours turned out great! Looking good!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! :)

I'm sorry yours didn't turn out well, Michelle. I debated between reverse painting white or maybe a yellow or even grey or black. A short time ago, I saw a flake pen with only gold from the Pens of Inspiration section with minimal flakes. I've really admired this pen.

Absolutely stunning .... noticed it in the pictures at the top of the forums the moment I came online today! :)

Thanks! It's definitely one of my favorites so far! I've been playing with different styles of photography as well. My trick is flooring! I went to a tile store and picked out some nice tiles. The man there probably though I was crazy, wandering around and picking out random tiles, buying one of each. He kept asking what it was for. I told him it was for an art project, working on photography.

This is absolutely gorgeous and a great pen to spark up interest. Hope you have some more great blanks and kits on hand for future sales.

Thanks! :) Nothing sold yet! I'm planning on opening a little shop online. I do have a little supply of blanks and kits that've either gone on sale here or caught my eye (wallet?) online. I just hope the winter weather coming won't ruin things for me. I'm getting a heater for the garage so I don't get too cold.
