Australiana Elegant Beauty in Birdseye Huon Pine

Have made a few Australiana Elegant Beauty pens in the last few days, this is the first.

They use Australia's floral emblem, the Golden Wattle, on the centre band and the Southern Cross on the end of the finial cap.

Very good quality kit and plating.

Ti Gold and Black Ti plating with Birdseye Huon Pine blank, kindly donated free gratis and for nix by one David Lim from Timberbits. Thank you David, this one will go in the "private collection".

Finish is CA.

This blank turned like butter and it is an amazing sight to see all those birdseyes appear whilst you are turning.

Thought I might add a couple of "arty" shots as well.

Excellant work Fred ! I like the mix of plating on the Aussie kits . Very nice . Don't think I've ever seen that timber before . Great fnish (as usual) and nice photos . But , you have to remove the dust . :wink::biggrin:
