Got these finished a couple of days ago, but due to loss of Electricity have not been able to post them.

These two bowls are from the same blank purchased from Robutacion (George).

I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful grain patterns.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:. The photographs do not do them justice.

They are both finished with Shellawax Glow after sanding to 400.
The big bowl is 9.5in x 2.75in, and
The small bowl is 6.5in x 1.5in.

C & C welcome and thank you for looking.

Bob.

Nice form and finish. Australian walnut looks similar to English walnut (at least based on the pictures). I have a local source of English walnut and I want to do something different than the black or claro walnut I have turned in the past.

The Shellawax Glow did a really nice job on these!

Beautiful! I've not turned bowls yet, mostly pens, wine stoppers, and a couple peppermills. But I did get a bowl gouge recently. Hope to give it a try this year.

I saw your other post on the flame box elder bowls. Stunning!
