Taken by an amaturer photographer in Norway last week, this photo of the Aurora has taken the net by storm. It is certainly one of the most spectacular photos of it that I have ever seen, and I wanted to share.

More about it can be found here.

I spent a few days in Stavanger, Norway in the Navy. We went into port in one of the feords at the base of a mountain and saw the Aurora from the bow of the ship. One of the many high lights of my career. Awesom picture.

Wow! Dawn, the only aurora I've ever seen in S Texas was an old girlfriend... but thats another story. Wasn't as beautiful as that though, come to think of it. Thanks for sharing the pic and the link.

Sorry PR princess, those are God colors, You do not stand a chance. My wife chose some sunset color for our kitchen. After three years, we are still hunting. Good luck.

That is a gorgeous photo. That would make an awesome blank if you could capture the colors.

Alex, I know an Aurora online but I doubt it's the same one, lol. She is rather famous in some circles.

Aw we all know if anyone can do it Dawn can. May I suggest using a little of the VERY bright glow powder? I love that stuff.
