If you are a user of the Google Chrome Browser, please be advised of the following:

Effective Jan 1, 2017, Chrome version 56 and later will flag pages which collect passwords and credit card information as "Not Secure." Because penturners.org has not yet switched to SSL (i.e. pages which use HTTPS), you will see this warning when you log on, and possibly on various other pages. As part of a move to a more secure web, other browsers are expected to follow.

We are switching to HTTPS, and I expect that will be done sometime in the next couple of months. Until then, Chrome users may need to make an extra click to bypass the warning. For that inconvenience, I apologize.

All interactions with our site which do involve payment or credit card information (PayPal and our ProPay shopping card), do use HTTPS, and have for several years.

Although I don't use Chrome, it's very good of you to post this & warn the community of potential problems ahead.
Happy New Year Jeff.

Yes, it is and has been safe.

We don't process any monetary transactions on our site. We use PayPal and ProPay, both of which are secured with SSL (i.e. using https).
