I was given a few cigar labels to work with and wondering about the best way to glue the labels to a wood body. I will be using a CA finish over the label.

What glue to attach the label? Anything applied over the label before the CA finish process?

How many layers of medium/thin would you recommend?

Thanks

Finish the wood barrel with CA .... apply the label with CA and apply CA over the label as well (treat it just like a really thick decal).

Now ... comes the decision part. Make it work just like a decal and build up CA and sand it back smooth so you can't tell the label is even really there on the surface?

Make it a glossy smooth glass-like surface?

Or leave it more rustic ... with the decal sitting above the surface of the pen, able to be felt but not moved/removed ....

And possibly sand the gloss off to leave the finish matte, more like an actual cigar?
