Thanks Greg. I've been screaming this at the top of my lungs for years. As a motorcyclists I've lost count how many times I've almost been hit because of someone texting on their cell phone. I've had many friends hit while riding because of someone texting. A few years ago it was mostly teens I noticed texting while driving but in the last year or so it's just as many adults as teens.

Unfortunately we live in the "all about me" generation and no one seems to care or think that it will happen to them. Most of the time these offenders are given probation and community service for taking a life. Until we treat it for what it is and punish those responsible accordingly I don't think much will ever change. Usually when I confront someone for almost taking me out because of their texting, they flip me off and keep doing it.

Texting while driving should be totally outlawed. Just like drinking and driving. There are always, always those that say they can do both. People can just be really stupid. Sorry for the short rant but I can't stand drinkers or texters or anyone who is not on a wireless phone.
