New to pen turning, but I have to say - I'm having a blast!

I was given a small set of well aged antlers, this is the result. I used SA
with a black rubber component in it to glue the bottom tube in and think
that black blotch is where it leached into the wood.

Nice antler pen. You always get a lot of color variation throughout antler, so the blackened area was probably natural. Not your fault. Good job keeping some of the bark on it, too!

Thanks. I gave it to the guy that supplied the antlers, he didn't complain about the splotch.

The remaining 'bark' was pure luck, I wish I could say I meant to do that!

yep gotta say you caught on well.... you'll be spending money hand over fist soon,,

Tell me about it Bro., It's all I can do to keep from ordering bunches of
other styles of kits. The next order will probably be a few bullet and
comfort pens.

This stuff is addictive.

Have you finished your .50 cals?
