Are there any black curly woods? I can't find anything with the search I did.

Les, I got some African blackwood burl, thats more curly than burl. Just have to find it , send me yor address and I'll get one to you if you need it.
 
Thanks Roy, but I don't really need it for anything special. I've just been doing segements primarily lately and I was wanting to use some good curly black stuff. Don had a good suggestion about using poplar or maple, but I think the dyed stuff doesn't look quite as good as what mother nature can give you. I tried searching around the web and I didn't get any hits on species of black curly wood. I thought it was kind of strange.

Thanks, but if it's not to late don't go to any trouble looking through your stuff. I was more curious as to whether there was a species of curly black wood.
 
I think I remember someone posting a classified to sell some curly blackwood, a few months ago. If I find the thread, I will post a link.
