We were planning on doing a little yard work around the house planting a few trees and schrubs and our builder told me to hold off since we might see some snow flurries this weekend. I reminded him this was April, but it's a good thing I listened, I took this a few minutes ago, we had between 5"-7" today depending where you measure and it shows no sign of letting up as I type this.

Not a bad day though, I was introduced to a nearby neighbor who also has a wood shop and just bought a lathe last week so we spent the day playing in my shop. We struck a deal...... I would teach him all I know about turning and he would teach me all he knows about fly fishing. He's been fly fishing all his life up here and is the vice president of the local fly fishing club, I've only been turning a few years. Guess who's gonna come out ahead on this little deal!

I dearly love this place!

We went from unusually cold winter (snowed three times) straingt into hell. It was 93 degress here today with "regularly high" humidity.

What the heck happened to spring?

Looks to me that you have fallen into a real "win, win" thing. Congratulations on your find. In '96 we were in Cheyenne on Memorial day and it snowed enough to cover the grass as we were heading west. It can snow at high elevations way late.

I didn't know that it snowed in Arizona. We have been having snow, rain, frost, snow rain, frost for days now. April isn't supposed to be winter weather. I would love to learn fly fishing George. I am jealous also. Good luck with the fishing.

Hey Ken, we should join George fishing and we could use teamwork to fly fish-Your Left arm and my right arm.:rotfl: George want some company? HA-HA.

We had a mini heat wave this weekend, both Sat and Sun were hitting 70 degrees, I have never seen so many white legs in shorts walking about enjoying the sun!

So George, do you tie flies?

There's a whole other addiction just waiting for you ... and it's perfect for days when you look out and see all that white stuff covering the trees!

Chris wins the "bad weather" complaints!

Chris:
I'm glad you guys are safe. If there is anything you need from the U.S., I am a PM away.

Let's see if I can make this appear convincing...... Fly tying, NEVER, I have way too many hobbies as it is and THAT'S THAT!

Oh wait a minute, I think that's the exact same thing I said when I got interested in stained glass. Took a few lessons, loaded up on hundreds of dollars of specialized tools, light boxes and supplies and if memory serves I THINK I know which boxes the stuff is in!

I've been staying down in Tucson for a week and yesterday and today were in the 50's! I'm loving it! Guess I better not get used to it, going back to the sweltering heat of Texas on Tuesday.

Haha.....It may be just a coincidence but the spring cherry blossoms are especially "radiated" this year. Oops...I think I meant radiant.:biggrin:

Andy...I could really go for a good U.S. Tex/Mex burrito. I'll pm you my address later tonight.

All is well guys, thanks.:good:
