Anyone use Palo Verde.

Has anyone made pens from palo verde trees. If so would you show some pictures. Any tips or useful need to know items on it.

I've turned a bit for bowls but not for pens. It usually has a bright yellow heart and sapwood but can spalt with brown and/or black streaks.

Definitely not my favorite.

Only thing I know about Palo Verde, when I lived in Tucson, seemed like the trunks were green and the leaves were grey... always thought that backwards...:biggrin:
