Thanks for reading. Looking to buy my first chuck so I can expand into turning lidded boxes and maybe bowls. The Easy Chuck looks to have alot of good features. Looking for some feedback from someone who has bought and used one? Like it? Hate it? It cost alot of $$ but good tools do.

Appreciate your reply.

Hi Rod:

I do not have their chuck; but have a bunch of other stuff - and will support this company.

Maybe a few $ more, but I have not been disappointed with their products.

I'm sure the chuck is high quality - although I doubt it's any higher than nova, oneway etc.

Besides being quality the advantage is the easy jaw change. The only downside I can see - besides the price - is the jaw selection is a bit more limited although it is decent enough for most purposes.

I'm going the multiple chucks route and this seems to be the norm amongst most bowl turners.

One reason besides jaw changes is that sometimes we leave work in a chuck while working on a different piece.

I just bought my first chuck, an Easy Chuck, about a month ago. I have nothing to compare it to, as regards to other chucks, however, so far I have been very pleased. I only have the stock jaws that came with the chuck. Will buy more as soon as I sell some bangles, which is why I bought it to begin with.
