Anyone in Manhattan Kansas?

My best friend and her husband are moving to Manhattan Kansas next week. He is not a pen turner, but is a woodworker. Is there anyone close who could give him the skinny on where to get exotic woods, tools, etc? When I was a kid I spent my summers near Emporia (Cottonwood Falls) working on my uncle's cattle ranch. We used to go to Manhattan sometimes. I'm sure going to miss them!

Have your friend check out Flint Hill Woodturners. They are right near Manhattan. The club founder, Tom, is a great guy and an excellent wood turning teacher.
He was a member of a couple clubs here in VA founding one of them too.
He also has had a professional architectural wood turning business and teaches at John C. Campbell Craft School in NC.
Hopefully, the club can help your friend find what he is looking for.
