I'm looking for someone who can machine a couple items for me as a prototype...one out of Aluminum and one out of Stainless Steel for future projects that will later have a logo put on it.

I did contact one member here on the IAP that has a metal CNC and got a short reply that didn't answer my request so... I'm looking for a place with the ability, desire, and a bit more hunger for business. Does anybody know of a good shop that they have dealt with in the past?

Thanks in advance

Good luck finding someone here that has the machine with the ability to handle stainless. In fact the only ones I think could handle it are Constant, Marksman, JohnnyCNC or Bruce Boone. Prototyping is crazy expensive and unless a machinist could see a long term biggish order then I think it's unlikely you will get someones interest at a reasonable price.

LOL, besides.....didn't you just buy a metal lathe? You should be in the shed playing with it!!!!

Edit; Added John's name

Yeah, Yeah...but I have to get the lathe delivered first! I just ordered it and figure it should be here late next week. Once it arrives I want to focus on the ideas I have in the sketch book and have about 25 to 50 of the prototype bits made that are a bit larger than I want to deal with right now. I've contacted 3 members so far of which 2 are on your list here so I hope I can send some business their way...if not we have one about 30 minutes away from me that can do it. Just looking to support IAP members first. It's a pretty silly item, but may have a place as a finishing item.

Check out emachineshop.com They have a very intuitive CAD program you download and will give you a quote in about 15 seconds after you submit. Pretty good delivery times as well.
