Anybody looking for a Bandsaw?

I saw in the paper that Lowes is having a sale for the next week on power tools. So at lunch today, I went down just to browse. I've been kinda in the market for a band saw, and have been watching craigs list just in case. Today Lowes had the Delta 14" band saw on closeout for $319.00 because they are replacing Delta tools with Porter Cable. I got the floor model (which has a few cosmetic issues) for $225.

My wife is going to kill me.

Actually Portercable was purchased by Black anddecker/dewalt. It is not Lowes exclusive.

I have been saving my pennies and asking for Lowes Gift Cards for every occasion to buy that band saw......

....but there are none left in the Tampa Bay area... :frown:

Just the Porter Cable brand at $399. Oh well. I only need to save another $100.

Delta, Dewalt, Porter Cable, Stanley, and Black and Decker are all from the same company, now...I haven't seen too many black and decker tools around recently, but I've seen Porter Cable everywhere I look...

My thinking is that they're trying to capitalize on the Porter Cable name...

Unfortunately, the stores near us are all sold out (5 stores), but it was worth trying!!!
